The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo because it was one of the hardest books to stick with but I did it (surprisingly), finished it and it got me out of my reading "comfort zone" and into something I normally wouldn't choose when out shopping for books (it was a selection for my book club)! Now, I can't wait to read the next two in the series!
I was so surprised to hear you say this as I know you struggled with the beginning of the book! I am glad you enjoyed it though and can't wait to hear what you say about the 2nd book.
I think my favorite read of 2009 was The Girl Who Played with Fire, followed closely by the Kite Runner and The Secrest Life of Bees
I knew you'd be surprised and I actually surprised myself when that book immediately popped into my head. I'm more of a Jodi Piccoult, Sue Monk Kidd, Sophie Kinsella kind of reader so this book definitely brought me into a new genre I found I enjoyed! I am anxious to read the second and third books. I can see the stack growing next to my bed even as I type this! :)
Ok, I think Loving Frank is now at the top of my list after reading your comments to Liz! Thanks for the "disclaimer" so I wouldn't read further . . .a trip to B&N is in order soon!
